US State Secretary expresses condolences for Italian envoy killed in Congo terror attack

Taking to Twitter, Blinken said, "I communicated my most profound sympathies to Italian Foreign Minister @luigidimaio 

for the lamentable loss of Ambassador Luca Attanasio and others, who attempted to propel majority rule government, common freedoms, harmony, and opportunity in the DRC." 

As indicated by the US Department of State, Blinken additionally talked with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio to communicate his most profound sympathies for the shocking passing of the Italian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and two others in an assault on a World Food Program caravan, said US State Department representative Ned Price.
