India, China affirm 'completion of Pangong disengagement', agree to continue dialogue to resolve remaining issues along LAC

New Delhi [India], February 21: India and China "decidedly evaluated" the smooth fruition of separation of forefront troops in the Pangong Lake zone and consented to proceed with their correspondence and push for a commonly satisfactory goal of the excess issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector. 

The trade occurred during the tenth round of the China-India Corps Commander level gathering. The gathering was hung on the Chinese side of the Moldo/Chushul line meeting point on Saturday, the Ministry of Defense said in an explanation. 

The Ministry said the different sides had a "authentic and top to bottom" trade of perspectives on different issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Western Sector. 

The 10th round of Corps administrator level talks among India and China closed following 16 hours at Moldo as the conversation zeroed in on additional withdrawal at three erosion focuses in Eastern Ladakh, including Gogra statures, Hot Springs and Depsang fields, Army sources said. 

This most recent round of talks comes two days in the wake of finishing the withdrawal interaction from both the north and south banks of Pangong Lake. 

"The different sides decidedly assessed the smooth fulfillment of withdrawal of forefront troops in the Pangong Lake zone taking note of that it was a huge advance forward that gave a decent premise to goal of other leftover issues along the LAC in Western Sector," the assertion read. 

"They had a genuine and inside and out trade of perspectives on different issues along the LAC in the Western Sector. The different sides consented to follow the significant agreement of their state chiefs, proceed with their correspondence and discourse, balance out and control the circumstance on the ground, push for a commonly satisfactory goal of the leftover issues in a consistent and deliberate way, in order to mutually keep up harmony and quietness in the boundary territories," it added. 

The two nations have had a deadlock along the LAC since April-May a year ago because of activities of the Chinese armed force and have held a few rounds of military and conciliatory talks. (ANI)
