Venezuela to receive first 10 million doses of Russia's Sputnik V Vaccine

Caracas [Venezuela], January 13: Venezuela will get the primary bunch of 10 million dosages of Russia's Sputnik V antibody against COVID-19 in the impending weeks, President Nicolas Maduro said during his discourse to the country on Tuesday. 

"The Russian diplomat has recently given me the uplifting news that the initial 10 million Sputnik V immunizations will come to Venezuela very soon to guarantee mass inoculation of those areas of the populace who need it most," Maduro said. 

The president likewise added that the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) is surveying the viability of four antibodies, including the Cuban Soberana 02 immunization against COVID-19. 

In October 2020, Venezuela got Sputnik V as a component of stage 3 clinical preliminaries. 

In December, the Latin American nation consented to an arrangement with Russia on the immunization's conveyance to begin mass inoculation. (ANI/Sputnik)
