Mudumalai forest department arrests 2 men for elephant's death in TN

Nilgiri (Tamil Nadu) [India], January 23: Mudumalai Forest Department in Tamil Nadu's Nilgiri locale has captured two men living in Mudumalai for purportedly running an illicit cabin and being answerable for the demise of a 50-year-old wild gigantic. 

Addressing ANI, Srikanth, a woodland official stated, "A 50-year-old wild kind sized was seen with wounds on its back in November and for as long as two months we were attempting to give treatment. In December, we caught the harmed enormous seen with discharge on the harmed region and later we gave treatment to that elephant and let it into the woodland region." 

"The elephant again began moving to the neighborhood however didn't make any harm anybody. In the primary seven day stretch of January 2020, the harmed large moved to the local location and this was noted by the occupants and they began to pursue the elephant. Afterward, they burnt a tire and tossed it on the harmed enormous. The elephant fled with fire injury and later kicked the bucket," Srikanth added. 

In light of the video proof, the house proprietor Prasad and Raymond were captured on Friday night under the Wildlife Protection Act area (9) (seven years detainment) and someone else Ricky associated with this case is absent. An uncommon group has been shaped to capture him. 

The captured blamed will be delivered in the court today, said the woodland official.
