Jaishankar meets African envoys, discusses issues including Covid vaccines

New Delhi [India], January 19: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar on Tuesday held talks with emissaries of African nations, including Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Botswana, Burundi, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. 

"Happy to have a lunch-conversation with High Commissioners/Ambassadors of Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Botswana, Burundi, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia," Jaishankar wrote in a tweet. 

India's present needs and difficulties were examined in the gathering, wherein the Indian side guaranteed the African side of interest in the India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS), which is the authority stage for Indian-African relations. 

"Our discussion covered COVID recuperation, immunizations, air travel, and computerized encounters. Likewise talked about India's present needs and difficulties. Guaranteed them of India's advantage in an early IAFS Summit," Jaishankar wrote in an ensuing tweet. (ANI)
