India, Arab League vow to cooperate against terrorism, ensure freedom of navigation, maritime security

New Delhi [India], January 13: India and the Arab League States have pledged to extend collaboration against psychological warfare and guarantee opportunity of route and oceanic security. 

During the third senior authorities meeting of Arab-India Cooperation Forum hung on Tuesday, the authorities reviewed the memorable and civilizational ties that exist between the Arab World and India and underlined the commitment of the business and social ties restricting the different sides together. 

The gathering was co-led by Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Secretary (CPV&OIA) and Ambassador Mohamed Abu Al-Kheir, Assistant Foreign Minister and Permanent Representative of Egypt to the League of Arab States with investment of senior authorities from the Arab States and India, just as the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. 

"The Senior Officials examined issues of common worry on both territorial and worldwide levels, underlining the significance of reinforcing collaboration and coordination instruments between the different sides, such that serves shared interests and keeps up local and global harmony and security," read the authority proclamation gave by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). 

It further stated, "They repeated the requirement for political answers for territorial issues and emergencies in the Middle East, as indicated by applicable worldwide authenticity goals and significant arrangements and references, especially the Palestinian Issue, the emergencies in Syria, Libya and Yemen, and underscored the requirement for collaboration in battling psychological warfare and guaranteeing opportunity of route and oceanic security, as per the standards of global law." 

On the Covid-19 pandemic, India and the container Arab world examined about continuous coordinated effort in the fields of diagnostics and treatment and traded sees on particular public ways to deal with post-Covid financial recuperation. 

They conceded to early planning of the joint exercises of the Forum, including the third Session of Arab-India Cultural Festival, the Symposium on Arab-India Cooperation in the field of Energy, the first Arab-India University Presidents Conference, the second Symposium on Arab-India Cooperation in the field of Media, and the sixth Session of Arab-India Partnership Conference.
