Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], January 22: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Officials on Thursday submitted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao that TSRTC keeps on enduring misfortunes because of the expansion in costs of diesel, COVID-19 lockdown and gigantic measure of forthcoming levy.

The authorities clarified that if the pay rates of the TSRTC workers and staff are expanded, there would be a substantial monetary weight on the TSRTC. They clarified that except if the public authority stretches out major monetary help to the RTC and the ticket costs are raised, the monetary weight of the RTC can't be diminished, as per Telangana CMO.

The Chief Minister held an audit meeting with TSRTC offcials on Thursday at Pragathi Bhavan on the RTC.

"Last time when the ticket costs are expanded the diesel cost was Rs 67 for each liter. Yet, inside a brief timeframe, the diesel cost is expanded by Rs 15 for each liter. This had an unfavorable effect on TSRTC and expanded the monetary weight. The TSRTC brought about misfortunes because of the lockdown forced because of the Corna infection pandemic," the authorities disclosed to Rao.

"As on date, there is a substantial weight of contribution. Under these conditions, pay rates of the workers in RTC are to be expanded. On the off chance that the pay rates are expanded, at that point it would be more weight on the RTC. TSRTC isn't in a situation to bear that trouble. Thus, the state government ought to expand more monetary help. Transport passages ought to be expanded. Except if these two measures are taken, RTC won't have the option to emerge from the emergency," they added.

In any case, contrasted with the past, the TSRTC position is acceptable at this point. With assistance from the state government and a few estimates taken in the RTC, there is a subjective change in the RTC. "Inhabitance rate went upto 58 percent. This is slowly expanding. This is getting Rs 9 crore benefit each day. The circumstance will be vastly improved in the days to come. Be that as it may, the increment in diesel rates is making misfortunes the RTC. Misfortunes brought about because of lockdown and contribution are as yet a monetary weight on the TSRTC," they said. (ANI)
