Inquiry ordered into Odisha's Sambalpur train mishap

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], December 21: The General Manager of East Coast Railway on Monday requested senior official level request in the Puri-Surat Express Train (02827) mishap, in which an elephant was killed. 

The Surat bound Puri-Surat Special ran into an elephant among Hatibari and Maneswar Railway Station in Angul-Sambalpur Railway Section under Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway in the extremely early times of Monday morning. 

All front wheels of the train motor got crashed. East Coast Railway laments the unplanned setback and train's loco-pilots and monitors are in effect newly guided. 

There was no loss or injury to any traveler and all travelers were protected. 

"Quick and suitable move had been made by East Coast Railway on receipt of the data. Divisional Railway Manager of Sambalpur Division Pradip Kumar alongside other senior officials arrived at the spot quickly and directed the crash of the motor. They guaranteed snappy returning of the relative multitude of mentors of the train to Hatibari station and freeing from railroad track," said ECR.(ANI)
