Malabar phase II exercise 2020 sees high tempo of fighter flying operations

New Delhi [India], November 19 (ANI): The second phase of the Malabar practice on Thursday saw a high beat of contender flying activities from the decks of the two partaking plane carrying warships - INS Vikramaditya and USS Nimit.

"MiG 29K's of the IN and the F-18 of the US Navy flew alongside the IN's oceanic watch airplane P-8I and the USN AEW airplane E2C Hawkeye in consistent coordination," said the Indian Navy.

The second period of the Malabar practice started on Tuesday in the Northern Arabian Sea with the investment of Indian Navy plane carrying warship INS Vikramaditya, the American plane carrying warship USS Nimitz alongside other Indian, US, Australian and Japanese warships completing 'Malabar-2020' wargames.

The Australian Navy is participating with its warship HMAS Ballarat and Japan with destroyer JS Murasame. The second period of the Malabar exercise will be directed in the Northern Arabian Sea till November 20. (ANI)
