Death toll from earthquake in Turkey surpasses 40

Ankara [Turkey], Nov 1: The loss of life from the overwhelming quake in Turkey's western Izmir region has gone up to 42, as indicated by the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD).

A 6.6-greatness shudder overturned in excess of twelve structures in Izmir on Friday. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said late on Saturday that the loss of life from the quake remained at 37. In excess of 880 individuals were harmed.

"As indicated by the most recent information, 42 individuals passed on ... Rescuers in Izmir are chipping away at the rubble of nine devastated structures," AFAD said right off the bat Sunday morning. (ANI/Sputnik)
